The Literary Cache Submission Guidelines
Great books deserve to be found—and readers deserve a collection worth exploring.
The Literary Cache welcomes books from independent authors and small presses across a wide range of genres.
Basic book listings are free, but every submission is reviewed before it is added to the Cache.
Our goal isn’t to judge whether a book will become a bestseller.
It’s simply to maintain a useful, trustworthy collection where readers can discover books they might otherwise never find.

Who May Submit a Book
Books may be submitted by the author, publisher, rights holder, or an authorized representative of the author or publisher.
There is no charge to submit an eligible book, and authors may submit as many eligible books as they wish.
Submission Guidelines – What We Accept
The Literary Cache accepts professionally presented books from independent authors and small presses,
including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, short-story collections, and other legitimate published works.
Books Should Have:
- A professionally presented cover
- A complete and accurate book description
- Accurate genre, content, and reader-guidance information
- At least one legitimate place where readers can purchase or obtain the book
Both new releases and previously published books are welcome.
A book does not have to be new to be worth discovering.
What We Don’t Accept
The Literary Cache reserves the right to decline or remove submissions that include:
- Plagiarized, pirated, or otherwise unauthorized material
- Pornographic or primarily sexually explicit material Books designed primarily to promote hatred or violence against people or groups
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading listings Low-content books, spam publications, or mass-produced material created primarily to manipulate search results or sales platforms
- AI-generated books submitted in bulk with little meaningful human authorship, editing, or creative contribution Listings containing inaccurate or deliberately misleading reader-guidance information
- Books or listings that violate applicable law or the rights of others
Reader Guidance Matters
Readers should be able to make informed choices about what they read.
Authors are responsible for accurately completing the reader-guidance fields provided during submission, including information about language, sexual content, violence, faith or spiritual content, mature themes, and intended audience.
These fields are not ratings or judgments about a book.
They exist to help readers find books that fit their interests and preferences.
Review and Approval
Submitting a book does not guarantee publication in The Literary Cache. Every submission is reviewed before approval.
We may correct obvious formatting or categorization issues, request additional information, decline a submission,
or remove a previously approved listing if it no longer meets these guidelines.
Our review is intended to maintain the usefulness and integrity of the Cache—not to determine the literary merit of a book.
Free Listings and Paid Promotion
Approved basic book listings are free.
Authors may eventually have the option to purchase additional promotional visibility,
such as Featured Book placements, new-release spotlights, or newsletter features.
Paid promotion does not guarantee or purchase an editorial recommendation.
A sponsored or featured placement will be identified as promotional.
Editorial selections such as Cache Picks are chosen independently.
A Final Note to Authors
Independent publishing takes work, persistence, and a willingness to put your stories and
ideas into the world without any guarantee they’ll be noticed.
The Literary Cache exists because worthwhile books are sometimes overlooked.
